About this tool
What the Shopify Profit Calculator does
Store profit is what remains after product costs, shipping, payment processing, platform subscriptions, apps, advertising and returns. This calculator builds a monthly profit and loss for a Shopify store and shows profit per order and the return on ad spend needed to break even.
Formula
- Net revenue = orders × order value × (1 − returns)
- Profit = net revenue − product costs − shipping − payment fees − plan and apps − ad spend
- Break-even ROAS = net revenue ÷ profit before advertising

How to read the result
The marketing efficiency ratio (revenue ÷ total ad spend) is a blended view that sidesteps attribution arguments between ad platforms. Compare it with the break-even ROAS.
Free shipping thresholds, bundles and post-purchase offers raise order value, which spreads fixed per-order costs further.
Marketplace fees change and vary by category and country. Check the platform’s current fee schedule before pricing.
