About Our UK Digital Agency
We are a small, senior team that designs, builds and grows websites. No account managers, no outsourcing, no pretending to be bigger than we are.
Who we are
Best Web Developer is a digital agency based in Leicester, working with clients across the United Kingdom, the United States and the Gulf. We started in 2023 and have grown steadily by doing good work for people who then recommended us.
We are deliberately small. That means you deal directly with the people designing and building your site rather than an account manager relaying messages, and it means we take on fewer projects than we could.
What we actually do
Three things, and each depends on the others. We design and build websites. We make them fast, accessible and findable. Then we grow the traffic and enquiries they generate through SEO, content and paid media.
Most agencies do one of these and outsource the rest, which is why so many beautiful websites never rank and so many well-optimised sites look dated. Keeping all three in-house is the main reason our work tends to still be performing two years after launch.
How we think about the work
A website is a commercial asset
Not a brochure, not an awards entry. The question that matters is whether it produces enquiries from the right people. Everything else is in service of that.
Fast is a feature
We set a performance budget before writing code rather than diagnosing speed problems after launch. No page builders, no bloated themes, no four-megabyte homepages.
Accessible by default
Semantic HTML, keyboard support, real alt text and WCAG AA contrast on every project. Roughly one in five visitors benefits directly, and it makes the interface clearer for everyone else.
You own everything
Your code, your domain, your hosting, your analytics, your accounts. No proprietary platform, no lock-in, and no awkward conversation if you ever decide to work with someone else.
Honesty as a working method
We will tell you when you do not need what you are asking for. We have talked clients out of apps they did not need, redesigns that would have made things worse, and SEO retainers that would not have paid for themselves.
That costs us work in the short term. It is also why people come back and why they recommend us.
How we got here
- 2023, Founded in Leicester as a web design and development studio.
- 2024, Added SEO, content and paid media so clients could stop coordinating three suppliers.
- 2025, Expanded into US and Gulf markets, and began building generative engine optimisation into every project as AI search grew.
- 2026, Continuing to work with clients across three regions from the same Leicester office.
Working with us
Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute call. We ask about the business rather than the brief, then send a written proposal with fixed pricing and a realistic timeline within 48 hours. You are under no obligation, and you are welcome to take that proposal elsewhere.
If we are not the right fit, we will say so on that first call and, where we can, point you at someone who is.

Our office is at 18 Lyme Road, Leicester LE2 1QE in the UK. We work with clients across the UK, the United States and the Gulf, mostly remotely.
Deliberately small and senior. You work directly with the people designing and building your site rather than through an account manager.
No. We handle design, development and marketing in-house. For specialist work outside our range, large-scale video production, for instance, we will tell you and recommend someone rather than subcontracting quietly.
From sole traders to established companies with substantial teams. Projects typically run between £1,450 and £25,000, plus monthly retainers.
Leicestershire and Midlands clients often do. We travel to London, Birmingham and Manchester for kickoffs on larger projects. Most work runs perfectly well over video.
