Logo Maker
A small, opinionated logo builder: a name, an optional symbol, and the handful of choices that actually decide whether a logo reads well at small sizes.
- Runs in your browser
- Nothing uploaded
The tool
Type your name, pick a symbol and a palette, and the preview updates as you go. Downloading asks for an email address; the design itself never leaves your browser.
Everything you enter stays on your own machine. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else, which you can confirm in your browser network tab.
What people use it for
- Getting a usable mark for a new business the same day
- Making a favicon and an app icon that still read at sixteen pixels
- Producing a placeholder logo so a website build can start
- Testing two or three directions before commissioning a designer
- Making a monogram from initials when no symbol fits
About this tool
What this makes
A square logo built from a name, an optional symbol or monogram, and a small set of layout and colour choices. It exports at 512 and 1024 pixels as PNG, and as SVG, which is the version worth keeping because it scales to any size without softening.
The choices are deliberately few. Most logo generators offer hundreds of fonts and thousands of icons, which sounds generous and mostly produces a worse result: the decisions that matter are contrast, weight and whether the thing still reads at the size of a browser tab.
Why the symbol set is small
Twelve marks, chosen because they stay legible when they are sixteen pixels wide. An intricate illustration looks impressive in a preview and turns into grey mush as a favicon. If none of them suits, the initials option makes a monogram from the name you typed, which is what a lot of established brands use anyway.
Test it small before you commit
Shrink the preview in your mind to the size of a phone app icon. If the symbol becomes a smudge or the tagline disappears, the logo is too detailed rather than too small. That is the single most common fault in a first logo, and it is much cheaper to fix now than after it is printed.
Where a generated logo is and is not enough
It is genuinely enough for a side project, an early-stage business, an internal tool or anything that needs a mark this week. It is not a brand identity: it has no usage rules, no alternate lockups, no colour system and no thinking about how it behaves next to photography. If the logo will carry a real business for years, treat this as a placeholder that lets you get on with everything else.
The SVG and your fonts
The exported SVG names a font family rather than embedding the letterforms. On a machine without that font, the text falls back to something similar. If you need the wordmark to be identical everywhere, open the SVG in a vector editor and convert the text to outlines, which is a single command in every one of them.

Questions
Questions about this tool
The things clients actually want to know — costs, timelines, ownership and what happens after launch.
No. The artwork is built and exported by your own browser, and there is no request behind the preview. Downloading asks for an email address, and that submission is the only thing sent.
No, and there is no account and no limit on downloads.
Yes. The symbols are simple geometric shapes drawn for this tool, and the logo you make is yours to use. Do check that your name is not already trademarked in your sector, which is a legal question this tool cannot answer.
Keep the SVG. It scales to any size without softening, which matters for signage and print. Use the PNG where something will only accept a bitmap.
The file names a font rather than embedding it. Convert the text to outlines in a vector editor if you need it identical everywhere.
Not in this version. The symbol set is deliberately small, and an uploaded image would need to go to a server, which would break the promise that nothing leaves your browser.
