About this tool

What the Treatment Plan Value Calculator does

Patients decide on treatment based on what they will pay. This calculator totals planned procedures, estimates insurance coverage by category within the annual maximum and deductible, and shows the patient portion and a monthly payment with financing.

Formula

  • Total = Σ quantity × fee
  • Insurance = min(remaining maximum, Σ fee × coverage − deductible)
  • Patient portion = total − insurance; monthly = amortised payment

Worked example

Using the starting values in the calculator above:

Input Value
Procedures 4 entries
Remaining deductible $50.00
Remaining annual maximum $1,500
Financing term 12 months
Financing APR 0%
Result Value
Patient portion $1,880
Monthly payment with financing $156.67
Total treatment fee $3,380
Estimated insurance payment $1,500

How to read the result

Phasing treatment across benefit years can make better use of two annual maximums.

Presenting a monthly payment alongside the total often improves case acceptance.

Insurance estimates are not guarantees of payment. Check benefits with the plan.
