About this tool
What the Grade Percentage Calculator does
A score percentage is points earned divided by points possible, times 100. Mapping it onto a standard scale gives a letter grade. Working backwards shows how many points are needed to reach a target percentage.
It also works as a exam score percentage calculator or a test grade calculator.
Formula
- Percentage = points earned ÷ points possible × 100
- Points for target = points possible × target %
