What the Office Space per Employee Calculator does
Office space planning starts with the number of people in the office at peak, the space each workstation needs and an allowance for shared areas such as meeting rooms, kitchens and circulation. Hybrid working reduces desks needed when people share them.
Formula
- Desks = employees × peak attendance × (1 + growth)
- Area = desks × space per workstation × (1 + shared space)
- Rent = area × rent per sq ft
