What the Continuing Education Cost Calculator does
Continuing education costs more than course fees: travel, accommodation and time away from paid work all add up. Dividing the total by credit hours earned gives the true cost per credit hour, useful for comparing online and in-person options.

Formula
- Total = fees + travel + hours away × value of time
- Cost per credit = total ÷ credit hours
